To define whether a patient’s results are considered ‘normal’ or ‘healthy’ reference intervals are needed. In this article the prerequisites for reference intervals and different approaches for determination of those are described. Sysmex provides a list of scientific publications that inform about the reference intervals for Sysmex analysers, which can be found in this article.
